See below.: Not sure why this was tested to begin with. Measurement of mg has a very limited role in outpatient clinical practice. Makes me wonder if somebody thought something was wrong with you. In that case it might be reasonable to repeat test, but if it was just part of a shotgun lab evaluation i would not repeat.
