Not entirely clear: This means there is a "nodule" or lymph node in the area where your surgery was. If the surgeon performed a partial lobectomy, then there could be some thyroid left there and also a nodule. It could be a lymph node that was outside of where the thyroid was. Also, in reality if the surgeon did remove the entire lobe, it could be remnant scar that is being interpreted as such. Speak with surgeon.
