Variable: Areolar and nipple changes are typically more responsive to external stimuli (e.g. Cold, heat, etc...). Such changes, in general, are not considered pathological. However, changes (e.g. Pain, bumps, lumps) in the core breast tissue should be followed closely. If there are any doubts, see your ob/gyn asap.
