Depends: It is best to see your ob/gyn so that you can have the most individualized treatment. Metformin is appropriate in some situations, but your doc can tell you what is your best option.

Possibly: The picture shows a polycystic ovary. It's common to have this problem probably 2 to 5% of the world's population suffers from this. It is common also not be able to get pregnant. Using merformin or Clomid (clomiphene) are common choices to assist in improving the success rate of pregnancy. Certainly see your doctor not only for the prescription but to discuss further.
