Usually totally norm: There is a wide variety in the size and contour of the xyphoid process. It is incredibly rare to have any disorder associated with the xyphoid. From a cosmetic staindpoint, the xyphoid can be removed with outpatient surgery, though this will create a small scar.

Xyphoid: The distal (lowest) tip of the xyphoid often protrudes. It is usually not a sign of a problem.
