Anemia: Low hemoglobin means you are anemic. Can occur if you are bleeding somewhere, but more oftyen it is because of inadequate dietary intake of iron and other nutrients. You can help by taking iron supplements and or eating iron rich foods like red meats, leafy green and yellow vegetables, raisins, etc.

Anemia...: Anemia (low hemoglobin) is caused by either the body losing blood (heavy periods? Or small amount of blood in stool), the bodies inability to produce new red blood cells (for example iron deficiency) or a combination of these. Common things being common, given your age it is most likely low iron (can take supplements or eat iron-rich foods). If this doesn't correct things, see doc for workup.
