See a Gyn : 12 days is too long. A normal period should last no more than 7 days. Please make an appointment to be evaluated by a gynecologist. This is a common issue and your gyn should be able to help. Best of luck!

Possibly: A number of things could be going on. Infection, hormonal, pregnancy among a few. A visit to your doctor will help you.
