Scar tissue: Us is not the right test to eval. If mass is hard or palpable rec MRI breast to eval for enhancement. May even want to remove it as us in my opinion is not right test to eval area after radiation is done.

Check with surgeon: There are several typical findings that would suggest fibroadenoma in the breast. Ultrasound can be very helpful. I would check with your surgeon.

Compare and discuss: First of all- what you should do is to talk to your oncologist or surgeon. Ask to compare the previous sonogram to the most recent one and see if the impression of fibroadenoma has been there. Now, also will depend on the stage of your disease, whether the surgical margin is positive etc. If this is a new finding- perhaps you will need an MRI of breast and ultimately a biopsy if suspicious. D/w md.
