I took azithromycin 1 gm for chlamydia but just after it i took 2 digene (acidity tablets), can i have to repeat the chlamydia course. thanks?

Azithromycin: Azithromycin should not be taken at the same time as aluminum- or magnesium- based antacids, such as mylanta or maalox because antacids will bind the Azithromycin and prevent it from being absorbed from the intestine. Not sure what is in digene or whether you should repeat the course of treatment or go back to your doctor and be retested for chlamydia.
