Variable: Open was standard for decades and safe but with some morbidity from bigger incision. Now with laparoscope, less trauma to tissues and speedy recovery. But be observant for pain, fever, bowel movements, worsening symptoms, or jaundice. There are still potential complications that can need attention! follow the surgeons instructions!
