No.: Since the gallbladder's function is mainly one of storage, it is not a necessary organ. Your life will go on normally without your gallbladder.

Simple storage: Our livers continuously make bile which is used to digest fats we eat. Excess bile is stored for later use when we eat fatty meals. This storage organ is the gallbladder which squeezes out the stored bile in response to fat being eaten. Our livers make more than enough bile to digest any facts we eat and so the gallbladder, while a nice thing to have, is not essential to digest fats.
