Side effect: One of the side effects of Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is irregular bleeding. Sometimes after the first injection you will start bleeding, usually because you actually need more Progesterone hormone. Sometimes getting the second injection early will stop the bleeding. Check with your doctor. Also the longer you are on Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) the less bleeding you will have.
