What are the consequences of having an inflammatory eye infection?

2 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Many possibilities : Inflammation is a common element of many eye problems, and certainly infection. The treatment of the infection decreases the inflammation. Often combined treatments for both infection & inflammation are carried out together depending on what the problem is. The outcome on vision may be excellent to impairment, again depending upon the disease severity and duration.
