I am trying to understand what type of doctor to bring my wife to because she thinks she has spirochetes coming out of her.?

Maybe a psychiatrist: Spirochetes are helical bacterial species causing disease such as lyme, leptospirosis, syphilis, yaws, and relapsing fever etc... Although syphilis and yaws do have skin manifestation (lesions), you can't see the spirochetes with the naked eyes. I assume she is physically healthy, but feels she has the spirochetes coming out, suggesting some delusional condition. Please consult doc. Good luck.
