Voice rest: The simple at home remedy is to rest your voice for 3 days with no singing, no speaking excessively. You should work on more hydration with 6-8 glasses of water/day, humidification in the bedroom, and avoid bad habits like throat clearing. Ultimately, if this is a long term problem, you should see an otolaryngologist for a fiberoptic laryngoscopy or video stroboscopy to evaluate your vocal cords.

ENT eval, scope.: You are a heavy voice user and at risk for vocal nodules. Similar to how body builders form calluses on the hands, excess vocal use may form inflamed areas on the vocal cords. The only way to diagnose this benign condition is by mirror or endoscope evaluation in the ENT office. Would use gentle voicing, avoid coughing harshly, treat any reflux, and avoid smoke exposure. Best wishes!
