I was wondering about psychosis induced by psychotropic meds, i have been on effexor (venlafaxine) for about 8 years now what are my chances of getting psychosis?

Almost ZERO: Antidepressants can theoretically speaking lead to psychosis. We rarely see that in someone who does not suffer from a psychotic disorder to start with. They also can switch mood to mania or hypo mania. This is also a small possibility, however, since u have been on them for 8 years , your chances of this happening to u are ver very slim.
