AKA Trileptal: It is one of the newer anti-seizure medications. (similar to tegretol) it is very expensive but effective in controlling seizures. Some psych docs use it also for anger management control.

Oxcarbazepine is a s: Oxcarbazepine is a sodium channel blocker, one of the anti-epileptic pharmacotherapies with a keto group at the 10 carbon position. It is approximately 50% protein bound in the plasma. It is sometimes used for the treatment of pain, such as chronic pain with neuropathic components, headaches ( for example trigeminal neuralgia). Some of its side effects include dizziness and vertigo, fatigue.
