Nasal steroid: Nasonex is a nasal steroid spray, containing the active ingredient generically called mometasone. It is used primarily to treat allergic rhinitis . Thus, it helps alleviate symptoms like nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and postnasal drip. It is safe to use on a year round basis for perennial allergies or seasonally during active allergy seasons.
