Hi i have a yellow looking patch on the whites of my eyes it has been there for a good while and i've not thought much of it untill my partner noticed ?

Probably benign: This is most likely a benign finding, such as the normal changes that occur as one ages(sorry about that!). If the whites of the eyes are uniformly yellow, this is called "scleral icterus" and could be a sign of a liver abnormality.

Pingueculum: If they are just patches on the whites of the eyes, located at the 3-4 o'clock or 7-8 o'clock meridians (as if the iris were a clock face), they are likely pingueculae (sun damage). Rare tumors occur in this area (but they occur in just one eye and they tend to grow over time), so it is reasonable to have them looked at by an eye care professional.
