Eliminate poisons.: Keep all medicines, vitamins, cleaning fluids, and other chemicals locked away. Dispose of them safely. Install safety latches on cabinets. Keep the poison center number on all phones (1-800-222-1222).

Poisoning: I am not clear what you mean by " poisoned" . At 6 months the most likely cause of ingesting toxic substances is beauty and health care products. But 6 month old infants are not very mobile yet- may be crawling but certainly rare to be walking. So just be cautious where you lay your infant down to sit or crawl. More dangerous is that he/she pulls on a cord and pulls a lamp or TV down on the head
