Does the hsg improve fertility?

Possible: There are reports that after the hsg there may be improved fertility for two months. It is not known exactly why that is, but may be related to "flushing of the tubes". I have personally run across this improved fertility with my patients.

Yes: It is also possible that it may improve fertility by its effect on the endometrium (the uterine lining).
