Not related: There is probably some other explanation for your finger swelling than just walking. Continue your walking program!

Finger: Walking with your hands dependent and your heart rate elevated my make a subtle issue manifest itself. For example a slightly arthritic joint or a trigger finger. The same phenomena occurs when we sleep and inerstirial or extra cellular fluid redistributes it self and affects our hands when we sleep. If you have joint tightness or palm pain this reinforces these diagnoses /other conditions too.
