See doctor: I am assuming that it is 8.5 gms of protein in the urine in 24 hours. You should have her talk to her doc and be seen by kidney doctor. Seems like she has lot of protein in the urine. Is there blood in the urine also ? Check blood for kidney function test. Restrict fluids and salt-also needs more treatment.
