Coincidental: The rash and swelling are probably from something else. There might be teething going on, but you should see your pediatrician to check the fever, rash and swelling.

See your MD: Or a dentist if the swelling is localized to one area of the mouth. Without more information it is difficult to give you better advice.

Teething?: Not really enough info to tell for sure, and many schools of thought discount the fever associated with teething as not an expected phenomenon, but all 6 of my kids had swelling in the gums, fever, diarrhea when they were teething, so I have a different opinion than some of the other child experts.
