A member asked:

Why does humidity and the pain from arthritis so much?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluid retention: Heat and humidity causes some fluid retention which aggrevates joints. Cold causes stiffness in the muscles. So you get it from both extremes. But most arthiritis patients are bothered more by a barometric pressure drop (comes before a storm front). This was confirmed by a rheumatologist in denver who used a pressure chamber to study this phenomena.
