A member asked:

Is it safe for me to work out on the elliptical 3 weeks after an acl hamstring surgery?

Speak to surgeon: I have my patients wait six weeks before getting on the elliptical on there own. You should have adequate quadriceps strength before taking on more strenuous exercise. Only your surgeon and therapist can tell you when you are ready. Also it spends on how good graft fixation was at the time of surgery. You should speak to your surgeon.

No: Stick with your surgeon's rehab program.
