Does not tell us: Pcos is diagnosed by problems with ovulation accompanied by excess levels of male hormone (bloodwork or symptoms), and ruling out other hormone disorders. Many docs look at lh:fsh ratios. These may be elevated in women with pcos but they are not really part of how we make the diagnosis.
