Many approaches: There's a drug called Antabuse (disulfiram) that makes you vomit if you drink alcohol. Another drug, acamprosate, helps in the maintenance of abstinence. But nothing can "do this for you." best results seem to come when people are committed to stop drinking and participate in a support program such as alcoholics anonymous. Yes: Naltrexone helps with cravings and comes in pill or an injection that lasts 30 days. Other meds that have also shown some promise are topamax, (topiramate) baclofen, neurontin, odansetron, bases on genetics, some people respond to certain meds better than others. All can help if motivated and getting other support.
