BCP: Sometimes people will have extra bleeding - called break through bleeding - while on birth control pills. This can be caused by missing or being late with the pills or taking antibiotics or other medications. It can also happen in the first few months after starting the pill. Be sure to take the pill same time every day. If this continues check with your doctor.
