A protein enzyme: Trypsin is an enzyme made and secreted by the pancreas to help breakdown/digest the profteins you consume. It is actually secreted in an inactive-form called trypsinogen; once in the small instestine area, it is converted into trypsin which then breaks down the protein down to aminoacids to ready for absorption into your body. Trypsin deficiency is quite serious. Have fun learning..Good luck.
