Hydrocelectomy: Eliminating hydrocele fluid.Hydrocelectomy in adults is performed thru scrotal incision, some of sac may be excised, then remaining sac is everted & sutured together behind testis(bottle operation) or rolled up(lord procedure).Pediatric communicating & hydroceles of the cord are repaired via groin incision, like mini-hernia repair.Communication & window excised if communicating & whole sac if cord.

See below: A hydrocele is a sac full of fluid in the scrotum. Removal or excision involves opening the sac, draining the fluid and excising most of the hydrocele sac.
