Common warts: Warts are caused by human papillomavirus.. There are more than 150 types of hpv and are associated with various clinical lesions and diseases. Common warts repressent about 70% of all cutaneous warts and show hyperkeratotic, clefted surface with vegetations. They are caused by hpv types 1, 2, 4, 26, 27, 29, 41, 57, 65, 77. They are transmitted by skin to skin contact. Many effective treatments.
