Excision (cutting them out) is one way that involves a little shot of Lidocaine and a small dressing afterwards. There is a notable recurrence rate. See below: The area around the wart is injected with local anesthetic and them using a scalpel the wart is circumscribed and then a tissue nipper and curette are used to get to the base of the wart and it is removed. Often times the base is cauterized, the area is packed with antiseptic and bandaged.

Removal of wart : Excision means removal. The tissue surrounding the wart is anesthetized , the wart is demarcated and using a scalpel the wart is removed. The area will bleed so it is cauterized and sutures are applied. A dry sterile dressing is applied and the wound allowed to heal. This is a simple procedure and can be done at your doctors office.

Sharp removal.: Your doctor can numb the area, and cut out the wart. If the wart is large enough, it might require stitches. Other options your doctor might offer include cryotherapy (freezing the wart), electrocautery (burning the wart), laser treatment, or several different topical chemical treatments.
