Good for muscles: Generally speaking, chewing gum is good for your muscles of mastication.( chewing muscles) sugarless is obviously preferred. Your muscles get a work out and can actually tighten up your facial profile.

Good and bad: Too much chewing often causes tooth soreness and TMJ pain. Chewing sugarless gum helps somewhat to remove bacteria, plaque and small bits of food left behind. Gum containing xylitol is especially effective. Chewing gum with sugar contributes to dental caries (decay).

Increases massater: Gum chewing will hypertophy the massater muscles, giving the person a more square jaw. While this is considered attractive in men, it is not in women.
