Wrist sprain: A wrist sprain is an injury to the ligaments of thr bones of the wrist. These bone are the distal most parts of the radius and or ulna and the 8 carpal bones. The carpal bones are the scaphoid, lunate triquetrum, pisiform ( which is a sesamoid bone) trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate. And are attached by ligaments to each other, similar to a fracture there is pain swelling and stiffness.
