Acute joint pain: Treatment is determined by etiology. If just tight capsule and surrounding tissues, consider warmup, stretch, modalities/pt/laser, nsaids, purified omega, glucosamine chondroitin. If traumatic, consider further workup and imaging, as well as rest and ice. Surgery for a fracture or significant tear or loose body.
