Sometimes.: It depends upon the size of the filling and how close it was to the nerve. Sensitivity can be non-existent or last for a couple of days. Sometimes it can last even longer. I suggest that you call your dentist to let him\her know what you are experiencing and ask if you should come in to check both the filling and the bite, or wait it out awhile longer. Sometimes: That usually depends upon the size of the filling. Most composite fillings are not sensitive. However, composite fillings are also very technique sensitive. It could be that your decay was very deep, it could be a bonding issue, it could even be that the filling is a little high. Only your dentist can tell you for sure!
