Likely minimal: It's likely you had a case of hfm in your life that built up your immunity and your 2 wk old should have this protection from hfm & other viral illnesses for at least a few months. Simple hand washing and sanitizing should help reduce the risk further.If you get it baby could too. Hfm kids secrete virus in their saliva for a week to 10 days & in their poo for up to 6 wk.
