My 3 1/2 yr old has hand, foot, mouth disease. i also have a 2 week old, what are the risks to him?

Simple hand washing and sanitizing should help reduce the risk further.If you get it baby could too. Hfm kids secrete virus in their saliva for a week to 10 days & in their poo for up to 6 wk.
