Oral allergy syndrome is a condition with itching in throat and mouth due to pollen associated food allergy in about 5% of population . If you are allergic to birch pollens, you may develop itching inside the mouth upon ingestion of fruits and vegetables. Eating fully cooked food can avoid symptoms.
