How long should a broken toe be bandaged for to heal properly?

Buddy splint: A common bandage for a broken toe is called a buddy splint. This is essentially taping the broken toe to a toe next to it. I would recommend seeing a podiatrist though. Some fractures can be more severe and require additional therapies such as closed manipulation if the fracture segments are mal-aligned.

4-6 Weeks: The stability and severity of the toe fracture will determine the healing time. This can be evaluated by an x-ray. If stable and properly treated, most toe fractures will heal in about 4-6 weeks. Other factors that can affect the healing time of a broken bone include nutrition and smoking.
