Low impact activity: If pain persist after micro fracture surgery, it can often mean the surgery fail to form the fibrocartilage "patch" it was intended to do. Viscosupplimentation (lubricant) injections and unloading braces, can be helpful non operative treatments. Avoiding high impact activities, jumping, running, etc. Is very important. If pain persists, other cartilage restoration procedures exist that can help.
