Louse comb: After you use a pediculocide (louse shampoo, cream rinse) you must mechanically remove the nits. This time consuming process should occur daily x 7 days, using a louse comb. The best one i've found is "licemeister". Ask pharmacist about products that help to loosen the bond between the nit and hair shaft. They can make a tedious job a little easier. Happy combing!
