Lots of excercise: Eating pizza is not the problem per se...It is the eating pizza often with a sedentary lifestyle that brings on the problem. Best idea is mediterranean diet and cardio excercise 4 times weekly for 45 minutes each session. Then, restrict carbs, sugars and carbonated drinks and don't eat after 6:30 pm.

Leaner pizza.: Just about any food can be made a bit leaner. As far as pizza, try with light or even no cheese. Try vegetable toppings rather than sausage or pepperoni. Thin crust rather than deep dish or Sicilian. And don't eat the whole thing - maybe two slices only. This would cut the calories a lot and sodium a bit.
