There no excess salt: Body does not have extra salt as long as your kidneys are functioning right if you consume more salt body retains more water and it keeps the level of salt in your blood at normal level if you eat less salt body excretes more water through the kidnes and maintains salt level in blood there are other pathways as well it is healthy to be on low salt diet, low in sodium.
