Normal?: Blood pressures typically fluctuate, going up and down based on other stimuli in the body. Stress, pain, anxiety for instance, can all make the blood pressure go up. During relaxation, sleep, etc, the blood pressure will be lower. More important than an isolated elevated blood pressure reading is if the blood pressure is constantly elevated as this can lead to problems with other organ systems.
