Varies: Prolactin is elevated naturally in pregnancy and breastfeeding; if neither apply to you and it is markedly elevated, it may be a prolactinoma. See your doctor for further evaluation. Cortisol elevation can be anything that stresses your body. There are disease states with excessive cortisol production, but these are less likely. Again, discuss with your doctor.
