Tune in & tap: Stress is often a function of overreacting to the situation with distressing thoughts. Practice dropping the thoughts and taking slow deep breaths as best you can. Stress can also be eased by tapping with your fingers at the following locations: forehead, under eyes, under nose, under bottom lip, and upper chest. This is referred to as energy tapping.

Relaxation therapy: Anxiety and fear of academic examinations can be ameliorated by mindfullness therapies. During a session of progressive relaxation, mental images are aroused of being in the testing situation, relaxed and in control, and successful. It is important to actually see this in your "minds eye", to engage these emotions, and to do this repetitively and starting well before the actual testing event.
