Get a pregnancy test: Some women will spot occasionally at mid-cycle associated with ovulation. It is always a good idea to get a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. Sometime irregular bleeding is the first sign of a sexually transmitted disease, so an exam for this may be appropriate. Overall menstrual irregularity is common, and usually corrects in time.
