A member asked:

What do i do when my bowel is yellow? i am 55 years old

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need examination: Bile (particularly in a fast moving gut) along with your gut's bacterial flora account in large part for yellow color & volume of stool. Lots of other things also affect stool appearance: ingested foods, medications (peptobismol, antacids), swallowed blood or bleeding from gut, infection/antibiotics, inflammation, maldigestion, & the amount of mucus mixed with stool, as well as transit time.
