That sounds normal: Normal periods do not come on the same day of every month. Generally, the time interval between the first day of bleeding of one month and the first day of bleeding of the next month is pretty much the same (most often between 28 and 35 days, but other cycles can be normal). Soon after periods start and close to menopause, times between periods can vary a lot more.
